Of-Counsel Attorney
Nathan Johnson is an attorney licensed in Washington, DC, and advises clients on FCC and telecommunications matters. Prior to joining Aegis, he supported the launch and operation of satellite constellations ranging from 2 to 200 satellites, representing companies with space and ground operations around the globe.
Nathan received with his Juris Doctor from the George Washington University Law School and an LL.M. from the University of Nebraska College of Law in Space, Cyber, and Telecommunications Law. During law school, he worked at the FAA Office of Commercial Space Transportation during SpaceX’s first berth with the International Space Station, and for the U.S. House of Representatives’ Committee on Science, Space, and Technology during deliberations on human spaceflight regulation. He has published articles on orbital debris removal, on-orbit liability, and outer space property rights.
Nathan is also the North America Regional Organizer for the IISL Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court Competition, and co-founded the Space Court Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit promoting space law education and the rule of law.
Outside of work, Nathan enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and two children, and is an avid fan of science fiction.
