Of-Counsel Attorney
Aegis was founded from a desire to love both the work we do and the people we do it with. That vision has come to life—through a team we’re proud of and clients who trust us as true partners. Every day, we work to bring greater efficiency and innovation to legal services, improving quality while reducing costs. Our focus on the space industry stems from a deep belief in its potential to serve humanity, and we’re proud to be setting a new standard for legal accessibility.
Charles Horikami is a dedicated attorney, educator, and lifelong Idahoan with a deep passion for public service and the law. Born in Arizona but raised in Caldwell, Idaho, Charles traces his roots back through four prior generations of Idahoans. His career began in education, where he spent six years teaching U.S. History and Computer Science in rural Idaho while actively participating in local government and political discourse.
After a life-altering medical event, Charles pivoted toward a long-
standing ambition—law. He earned his J.D. from Regent University School of Law, where he clerked for judges in state, federal, and international courts, competed in space law moot court competitions, and interned with a satellite servicing company. Now a practicing attorney in Idaho, Charles specializes in litigation and administrative law.
Outside of his legal work, Charles and his wife, Heather, are the proud parents of five children. An avid hiker, traveler, and foodie with a curious mind, he continues to pursue his passion for space law through ongoing graduate studies, participation in several space policy initiatives, and part-time work with Aegis Space Law. Whether he’s advocating in court, mentoring students, or writing about lasers in space, Charles brings ethical conviction, humor, and Idaho grit to everything he does.
